Adopt

BE PART OF OUR RHINO FAMILY

We can only continue to move, monitor and protect Botswana’s rhinos with your support. For just £50 (or US$60) for the year, you can help our vital work by adopting a rhino. As part of your adoption, you will receive a personalized adoption certificate and we will keep you updated on the vital conservation work that you are supporting. A rhino adoption also makes a fantastic gift!

MEET TSHOLOFELO

We currently have a very special rhino named Tsholofelo up for adoption.

Tsholofelo, which means hope in Setswana, is a young female black rhino. Born in the Okavango Delta, she is a symbol of hope for her species. Tsholofelo’s mother was brought to Botswana from South Africa, where she was at high risk of being killed by poachers for her horn. Now she is breeding and growing Botswana’s rhino population, which is an international beacon of hope for the species.

Name

All of our rhinos are given identity numbers so that our monitoring officers can keep a close eye on their progress in the field. But a special few have names.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO NAME A WILD RHINO?

This is a unique opportunity to choose a name for a rhino from some of our beautiful Setswana words, or remember a loved one by naming a rhino after them. You can choose to name a black or white rhino, depending on the availability of a suitable candidate.

IT COSTS JUST £7,000 (OR US$9,000) TO NAME A RHINO

Every penny from the naming fee goes towards tagging, monitoring and keeping your named rhino, and all of our precious rhinos, safe. We only have a few rhinos available for naming, so please get in touch asap if you are interested.
